G-Con '96
Models & Dioramas

As I registered upon arriving at G-Con, I was immediately struck by the models which circled the main convention room. Large models, small models, dioramas; Godzillas, Gameras and assorted other kaiju. I was able to get some pictures, but was unable to get all of them. I also was not there when the award winners were announced. Luckily, Stan Hyde, the judge, emailed me this list of award winners. I have added links to the appropriate pictures on the list.
Below are all the pictures I took, award winners or not.

Gregg Rappin's Destroy All Monsters train set with 2 working trains. Greg is married to Julie Fontanez, who made the next model. He also makes models for others for a reasonable price.
Julia Fontanez's Godzilla vs Gamera. A great movie idea that will never happen.
M-1 Modellers Godzilla vs Biollante which was raffled off, unfortunately not to me.
Patrick J. McGrath's King Ghidorah!!.
Jeff Marker's Destroy All Monsters complete with a flying King Ghidorah.
John Parkinson's King Kong vs Godzilla is the centerpiece of this group of models. He also did the excellent Baragon model next to it.
